DONOBi Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. We protect your personal information in many ways and will continue to do so using state-of-the-art measures. We want to make your experience on the Internet as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, and we want you to use the Internet's vast array of information, tools, and opportunities with complete confidence.

DONOBi has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy and security. This Privacy Policy describes how DONOBi collects information from users of DONOBi services (the "Services") and how we use the information we collect. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.

Collection and Use of Information

DONOBi customers are asked to provide certain information when they sign up for our Services such as name, address, telephone number, billing information (such as credit card number), and the type of personal computer being used to access the Services. The personal information collected from Members during the registration process is used to manage each Member's account (such as billing and collections or future capital expenditures for DONOBi).

DONOBi may share personal information with select affiliates in order to provide DONOBi services to our customers. DONOBi does not share identifying information (like Name and Address) with affiliates for their use in delivering product and service offers to Members. Affiliates will not be allowed to use any information provided in serving our customers to be sold, rented, or given to any other company. Affiliates are not allowed to use DONOBi data for any purpose other than DONOBi approved programs designed to better serve our customers.

We use registration information to contact you in a variety of ways. We may send you offers through email, phone or regular mail of DONOBi products and services or offers on behalf of selected affiliates.

Server Log Information that DONOBi Gathers

DONOBi servers generate logs that may contain information about computers or devices used to access DONOBi websites, or about general activity on our servers such as the following:

  • Internet address of computer or device
  • Type of browser or other client application used
  • The operating system of the computer or device
  • Time spent on the service
  • History of email activity, not content

DONOBi's Commitment to Data Security

DONOBi has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining the information. We will never sell your information to a third party.

Practical example & reasoning:

John Doe has an active dial-up account with DONOBi, but he is out of town and his wife, Jane needs to change their address, phone number and password on the account. Since Jane's name is not on the account, she will not be able to make changes to it. Had the account been in both names, John & Jane, there would not be a problem with making the changes Jane was requesting. This policy becomes important should a couple experience marital difficulties and/or a separation. The primary account holder, John in this case, would not appreciate DONOBi complying with the non-account holder, Jane's request.
